About Sticky Wicket
Born in the Stands. Built for the Fans.
India’s most passionate cricket community — jerseys, stories, stats and the soul of the game
Our Story
Sticky Wicket was not born in a boardroom. It was born on a dusty street in Delhi, in front of a small television set, on the afternoon of June 25th 1983 — when Kapil Dev lifted the World Cup at Lord’s and a billion Indians lost their minds. We were those kids glued to the screen. We never stopped being those kids. Twenty years later, armed with a deep love for the sport and a frustration that no single place truly celebrated cricket the way fans deserved, we built Sticky Wicket. Not just a shop. Not just a blog. A home — for every Indian who has ever felt that knot in the stomach during a last-over chase, who has ever worn a jersey with pride, who has ever argued about who is the greatest of all time over cutting chai
From watching 1983 on a small TV — to building a website for a billion cricket fans.
"Cricket is not just a sport in India. It is memory, emotion, identity and joy. We exist to celebrate all of it."
